— A small house · made in the Cotswolds —

Six pieces of furniture. For now.

Three sofas to live in, and three chairs to sit beside them. Each made to order by three pairs of hands, over fourteen days, in a stone barn outside Stow-on-the-Wold. We will add a seventh piece when we have learned enough to deserve to.

— The workshop

Fourteen days.
Three pairs of hands.

Every piece begins as boards of ash and oak that have been drying in our barn for at least eight years. Hattie shapes the frame; Tomas joins it with dowels and hide glue; Mara hand-stitches the upholstery. No piece leaves the workshop until all three sign the underside.

Seven materials.
Nothing else.

We work in ash, oak, walnut, linen, wool, leather, and stone. We do not work in anything else — no plastic, no foam, no plated metal. If a piece cannot be made of these, we do not make the piece.
